Dad

Monday, May 17th, 2010

I love this image of my dad. He grew his beard for the Passion Play we photographed around Easter, and before he (finally) shaved it, we got this great shot of him. That’s his dad’s pipe he’s holding. Love it.

Congratulations Liz!

Life in a Small Town – Our Farmers’ Market

Tuesday, April 6th, 2010

Every Saturday, our small town hosts a wonderful Farmers’ Market. I start every Saturday morning with a trip to the market. You never know what wonderful things you might find! Just look at these gorgeous fruits and veggies!

Don’t these strawberries just scream “SUMMER” to you??

Almost makes you want to eat healthy, doesn’t it?

Life in a Small Town

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

As I’ve mentioned before, I live in a wonderfully small town. It’s the type of town where you can’t go to the grocery store without seeing someone you know – which is never a good thing when you’re in your pajamas on a Saturday morning and realize you have no milk for your cereal.

This town is full of great moments for photography. I thought it would be fun to feature some photos from my small town on the blog. So here it begins, the first installment of “Life in a Small Town.”

This first photo is of our local, historic train station. For many years, our small town was best known as the winter home of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. The circus would arrive in town by train and stay here for the cold winter months. Sadly, the circus train no longer comes roaring into this station, but I can only imagine the excitement that surrounded this place on those days.

The train station is now a beautiful landmark of our city – and a great place for a photoshoot, as you might remember!

Stay tuned for more from “Life in a Small Town”!

Budweiser Clydesdales

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

You never know what you might find in our small town! Guess who showed up recently?

That’s right – the Budweiser Clydesdales!! A huge crowd showed up to see them. We watched them get unloaded off the truck, brushed, harnessed and hooked to the rig. These horses are MASSIVE. Seriously, the pictures don’t even begin to adequately portray the size of these beautiful horses!

Aren’t they beautiful?

The horses all came out with a quiet crowd….but after they were all hooked up, they brought out Bud (the dalmation) and everyone cheered! He was the star of the show!

This is actually the second time this year that they’ve been to our small town. It was such a big hit last time that they decided to bring them back! We hope to see them again soon! (more…)

More Baby Liam!

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

I am so excited to share some more of the photos from Baby Liam’s photoshoot with you. Warning: If you have baby fever, these photographs will make your temperature spike through the roof! Isn’t he a doll?? Just look at those eyes!!

We encountered a tiny challenge when Liam’s mother informed us that he cries everytime she takes his diaper off. That settled it: No cute baby bum pictures in this shoot! We had to get creative and work around the diaper, but we were still very pleased with how the photographs turned out!

I just love Baby Liam’s tiny feet…

Absolutely angelic.

In case you’re wondering, we usually do our baby photo shoots in our client’s homes. We find this is usually much more convenient for our clients and less stressful for the babies. The babies are more comfortable in familiar settings, and we are able to get some great shots like the ones above.

We hope you have enjoyed these photos of Baby Liam!

Peek-a-Boo!

Here is Hardy at the church.  She was playing hide and go seek while her mommy was practicing for Sunday morning service.

And that (finally) ends my recaps on my trip to Georgia. I hope you enjoyed all the photos! Do you have a favorite?

Stay tuned…I had an awesome photoshoot yesterday and I can’t wait to share the photos with you!

Fun With an Umbrella

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

We were headed out to Callaway Gardens in Georgia for a photoshoot when it started to rain.  While she was waiting for us to load up the car, Hardy decided to play with the umbrella.  She was having so much fun!
